I was twenty-one years when I wrote this song..

This journal has now celebrated its 20th birthday.  Incredible.  I remember starting to write when I was still living at my mom's in Chicago, and I was still working at the bookstore, shortly after 9/11.  At the time, a lot of people were still writing to process what had happened.
